so yesterday i am cruising around Manhattan. it was hot as hell out and i am trying not to stick to myself haha.i pass this spot i always see when i'm working. it's this little closet looking thing on the side of the street and its got records stacked on each side of it. an old Spanish man is working there and doesn't speak English but i pay him 2 bucks to watch my car hopped up on the curb while i dig so i dont get a ticket.
so i am knee deep in record stacks (mostly crappy but poppy Latin LPs) but there is a crazy amount of rap too. i am pulling some Fondle 'Em stuff, some older shit like JVC Force LPs and a few titles i thought would be cool that ended up being booty music haha. but i find this record called Trife God.
i am thinking ok is this Trife The God from Wu fame? is this from like 2001? doesn't say anything about Staten Island on it. there is no location on it. no date. but of course for a dollar i am gonna grab it and pop it on the table when i get home! WOW! talk about minimalist awesomeness!
just a classic break with a dropping bassline and some sick horns. and some awesome rapping over it! this song features this guy name Hecktik. any info about this would be more than appreciated. I researched it and cant find shit so i mean either it is common and no one gives a fuck or its one of those weird rarities that get passed up all the time
